This is just one of my made-up words that I make-up and use for the rest of my life. I have several other made up words like, romantical and who-who-dilly. Does anyone else have their own vocabulary? I hope I don't scar my son's vocabulary, then again I think I might be safe for now, he hears the next door neighbor's dog bark and starts woofing himself.
What are panty-cakes, panty-cakes, panty-cakes? When I ask for them I ask for them
at least three times in a row, getting louder every time I say it- this is ALWAYS directed towards my husband- anyway, the average person would probably refer to them as pancakes.

On this particular morning my husband didn't have to leave the house at the ungodly hour of 5:30 instead he let his alarm clock go off at 5 (he needs to wake me up for good measure) and hit the snooze a couple of times before he turned it off!
I am a very forgiving person and gladly excepted his panty-cake offering.
I felt special because I received a LOVE panty-cake
The Recipe
to somewhat healthy panty-cakes:
Bowl 1
1 egg (beat)
2 TBLS Canola oil
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
(stir together)
Bowl 2
1 1/4 cups flour (part wheat)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
(stir above ingredients)
pour flour mix into wet mix
Heat the griddle- make em nice and fluffy!
I think they go down best with REAL maple syrup
My son seems to agree

I love the fun names we come up with for food and other items! :) I can also sympathize with the multiple snooze buttonizing at oh-dark-thirty. My hubby and I joke that he sets his alarm for me... he tends to wake up better when I kick at him to turn off his alarm! :) I get it, believe me.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up with Friday Potluck!
